Projects and Activities

Our Kiwanis club participates in a variety of projects throughout the year that involve fundraising, community service, and assisting children locally and worldwide.  Additionally, we have speakers at our weekly meetings to explore topics of interest to the membership. We engage in a number of social activities to share experiences, talents and our collective interests. All represent great opportunities for service, friendships and personal growth.

Below are the projects and activities in which we are currently involved:


  • Arvada Day of Service
  • Arvada Wheat Ridge Service Ambassadors of Youth-AWRSAY recognizes middle and high school students who have overcome an adversity in their life.
  • Backpack program-members pack and distribute about 100 meals for students at Thomson Elementary School.
  • Salvation Army Bell Ringing
  • Colfax Marathon Water Station
  • Habitat for Humanity House Building
  • Habitat for Humanity Pumpkin Patch-members help sell pumpkins at Halloween to raise money
  • Highway Cleanup-members pick up trash along 64th Ave. between Ward Road and Indiana St.
  • Meals on Wheels
  • Mother's Milk Bank Diaper Drive
  • Postal Carrier Food Drive to benefit the Arvada Community Food Bank
  • Ralston House 0.5K Endurance Run
  • Reading Program at Swanson Elementary School
  • Write Stuff-members help pack and distribute school supplies to area schools.
  • Sweet Dream in a Bag-members help distribute bedding to families at Arvada Head Start School



  • Key Club-Kiwanis clubs are supported in the local high schools.
